クラリネット演奏してきました
海を愛でながら演奏できるんです。
瀬戸内の穏やかな海、そして綺麗な空気を感じながら舞台に立てるって！
着いて、早速音出しをしてみます。
ムムッ、響かない。
おおっ、ピアノ椅子のストッパーが効かない！
そんな状態にあっても、最大限調整をして、お届けしようと対策を練ります。
ピアノの位置を前方に修正。椅子も直していただけました。
今回はこれで行ってみることに。
リハをしながら、お客様の顔をイメージしていきます。
プログラムや曲順の最終チェック。
曲順を少し変更することに。
40〜50分座りっぱなしで大丈夫だろうか、休憩やストレッチを挟むべきなのか。
そんなことも頭に入れながらいよいよ本番です。
舞台袖でスタンバイをしながら、次第に大きくなる観客席でのお客様の雑談。
嬉しくなります。
いつもの気の知れたお仲間たちなのでしょう。和やかな雰囲気が伝わります。
オープニング曲の後は自己紹介です。
トークをしながら、私たちのことを知ってもらい、皆さんとの距離が近くなります。
特にピアニストの出身地でもあるので、地元エピソード満載で、皆さんの心をグッと掴みました。
この時間と音楽を共に創り、体験していただくこの機会はとても重要なのだなと再確認しました。
「生の演奏が聴けてよかった」
「涙が出た」
「クラリネットの音を聞くのが珍しかった」
「私はオカリナやるのよ」
「ここで音楽の演奏を聞くのは数年ぶり」
と様々な声を直接聞くことができました。
何より、企画、依頼をしてくださった周防大島町社会教育課の方々には感謝申し上げます。
演奏家として、芸術を表現するステージを与えてくださり、お仕事として、依頼があることが、どんなに励みになることか。
多くの音楽家が演奏活動持続可能には到底程遠い環境に追い込まれています。
また、地方で演奏鑑賞の機会が極端に少ないことも事実。
そんな問題にも取り組みながら、次にできることを探していきます。
We had a performing gig in Suo Oshima Island (less than15,000 population ／ 140㎢） the other day. You can look at the ocean while playing on the stage! Isn't that amazing?
Once arrived, the first thing we did was to check up the stage setting. We found out that in order to get as much acoustic as possible, we had to move the piano towards the front edge. And a little accidents here and there, we tried to do the best as possible.
As we standby behind the stage, we could hear the audience gathering and chatting, it was a very pleasant feeling. I could see those people know each other well and anticipation with the excitement.
Once our program started, we perform and introduce ourselves. Especially, it is our pianist's home town, so she had a lot to say and the audience loved her.
I thank the Oshima Education Division for inviting us and welcomed us.
This opportunity proved us again that those people are desperately in need of experience the live music. We need more musician here.
